Day 7.

Today the housemates woke up around 5.15am, prepared for the Mass as usual. After the Mass they went for their daily morning chores; they did an excellent job.
They had noodles for breakfast, after which the media crew asked them to write a short quote to be posted online for the voting.

reality show new video update... what is going on in the show...
IN-HOUSE- REPORTER'S UPDATE...
Due to the unavoidable heartbreak of last night’s eviction, the housemates
woke up very late today at about 6am to a morning of unknown
possibilities. They had to rush as they prepared for Holy Mass which started
at 7.30am and ended at about 10.am. During the thanksgiving session the
HOH led the other housemates through some funny dance steps like
‘’shoki’’ dance and the likes. One of the housemates left the Mass
because she was ill while other showed their concern.. She is gradually
recuperating.
The evictees were escorted out of the house by the other house mates as
tears filled their eyes.
They had bread and tea for breakfast, after which Fr. Gerald spoke
on the focus topic for the next two days which is on ‘God and Mary’.
He explained the Virgin Mother’s role in the economy of
salvation and the housemates listened comprehensively and followed with
intelligent questions for the priest.
The major task for the day is to choose the best way to present the role
of Mary in the history of salvation, while the minor task is to analyse the
significance of the Eucharist (bible quotation is very important). Stay

ANOTHER UPDATE FROM OUR IN-HOUSE REPORTER
Apparently the tension among the housemates has reduced as they woke up late today. They began the day at 5.35 am freshening up followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist (morning mass). The housemates intentionally changed their timetable as they had their breakfast before doing house chores. There were arguments over the issue of food as they drew up their food timetable. While others were preparing for their minor tasks, some housemates took advantage of the time of revisit their dreamland.
This morning the first task was to play a game in drawing the Nigerian coat of arm and name the past Heads of State and Presidents from 1960 till date and the winner has the power to prevent one of the housemates from contesting for the next HOH by saying “NO”. Housemate 06 won the task and dropped housemate 04 after winning the first task. The second morning task was a game of treasure hunt which will automatically make the winner the next HOH.
The general understanding of the theme: “The Nation” was given by the rector of Ondo community, Fr. Anthony Oche (sdb). He said "for the well-being and progress of Nigeria, we need to build ourselves first".
The major task of the day is
1. “dramatizing the role of youth in the uplifting of the nation” while the minor task is
2. “imagine yourself as Nigeria’s president for 24hours, how can you restore peace among our politicians.”

The eviction night started with evening prayers, coordinated by Fr. Emmanuel followed by the presentation of the minor tasks titled:
IF I WAS MADE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS WHAT WOULD I DO TO RESTORE PEACE AMONG MY FELLOW POLITICIANS?.
All the house mates made very nice presentations. After that the HOH [#07] was invited to inform the house mates who she saved and replaced. Tears filled her eyes as she announced that she saved #03 [Amandi Claudio] and replaced with #02 [Okafor Immaculate]. Before this, however, she apologized to the person she used to replaced whom she saved.
The contestants who were up for eviction were called up to the stage and house mate #06 [Sola Adewumi] was the first to be evicted. He was followed by house mate #01 [Chinonso Marie] while housemate #02 (Immaculate Okafor] was saved through votes from sym Nigeria and friends.

REASONS WHY HOUSEMATE 01 WAS NOMINATED FOR EVICTION BY OTHER HOUSEMATES.
Housemate 01 does not know how to address people; she is kind of rude and saucy. Another reason is she is a big competitor and some housemates feels she is a big threat to them. Maria is said to be lousy though fun to be with; she is selfish and intolerant to some extent.
REASONS WHY HOUSEMATE 06 WAS NOMINATED FOR EVICTION BY FELLOW HOUSEMATES.
Though he is nice, some feel he is a threat to them. He is not really attached to the house, he doesn't relate much with his fellow housemates. Moreover, he doesn't comply with the rules and regulations given. He is autocratic, intolerant, and selfish. He loves situations whereby his opinion stands. He doesn't do things with the Salesian spirit.

From the in-house reporter
"The gift a new day brings gives us more reason to thank God. As the days rapidly roll by the house gets more and more interesting; today the housemates woke up with mixed feelings. Those who were not evicted were glad that they are still part of the show and at the same time sympathized with the evicted housemates.
The HOH woke up this morning earlier than the other housemates and woke the ladies at 5.06am. The ladies who were supposed to take their bath immediately were delayed due to the scarcity of water in the house, the HOH wake the guys around 5.32am. Some managed the little water they could find to take their bath while other went for the mass without bathing. After the mass the house mates were busy with their house chores; they did a nice job clearing the environment of their house. Water came and they had their bath.
Time for breakfast [noodles time!] David, Immaculata, Claudio and Helen were in charge of the cooking [just noodle 4 people, that's too much]. After their delicious meal it was time for those evicted to leave the house.
It was a difficult task consoling the female housemates as they helped maria to pack her things. The guys too could not hide the sad expression on their faces as Sola moved out of the house with his luggage. The house appears more silent with housemates going about with straight faces.
The focus for the next two days would be on Don Bosco.
The Minor task is to analyse the episode of 'the stone fight in the life story of Dominic Savio' while the major task is to justify the saying, 'John Bosco, a man with a dream' and relate it with yourself as a Salesian youth"
