The number of unemployed Nigerian Youth is estimated to be as high as 50 million, with variances in different states. The situation is particularly high in some northern states with as high as 30% and lower in some southern states like the largely populated Lagos (about 8%).
This is an urgent area for professional intervention in the future of Nigeria. The Salesians of Don Bosco in Nigeria has role to play in this crisis especially as it concerns the youth.
